The A15VO is an axial piston variable displacement pump built by Bosch Rexroth for open-circuit hydrostatic drive systems, primarily in mobile and off-highway equipment. It belongs to the same swashplate-design family as the A15VSO/A15VLO industrial series, but it's engineered specifically for mobile applications — think excavators, wheel loaders, cranes, and other equipment where duty cycles are harsher, ambient conditions swing wider, and packaging space is tighter than in a stationary factory installation.

Common Issues and Failure Modes
Loss of Pressure or Flow Under Load
Often traced to worn piston shoes, a scored swashplate surface, or a failing control valve that isn't sending a full stroke signal to the servo piston. Excessive Noise or Cavitation
Usually a suction-side problem: restricted inlet line, degraded hydraulic fluid, or an inlet filter close to bypass.
